Marcus Harris — Founder & Senior Safety & Security Leader
Marcus Harris founded M3 Safety Solutions with one purpose: to deliver real, hands‑on Safety & Security leadership shaped by experience, integrity, and a deep respect for the people who keep operations moving.
Before entering the logistics and safety field, Marcus built a strong professional foundation working for two Big 6 accounting firms — Andersen Consulting and Ernst & Young, LLC — where he specialized in Finance and Revenue Assurance. At Ernst & Young, he managed a $6.5M budget comprised of five partners’ $1.3M asset portfolios for a Telephony Solutions Set Design initiative. During his tenure, Marcus was nominated for and received the Oracle Bonus Award — a recognition typically reserved for client‑serving consultants. At the time, he was the only non‑client‑serving professional to earn this award, underscoring his exceptional performance, analytical discipline, and ability to manage complex, high‑stakes projects. These skills later became invaluable in safety leadership.
Marcus’s safety philosophy was shaped on the warehouse floor, where he began as a temporary forklift operator at DB Schenker. He didn’t enter safety from an office or a classroom; he learned it in real time, in real environments, alongside frontline employees who face risks every day. That foundation became the driving force behind his commitment to empowering workers and building safety cultures that actually work.
As Marcus grew within DB Schenker, he advanced rapidly into roles that expanded his operational understanding — from Lead, to Unit Line Former Lead, to Action Supervisor, and Dock Coordinator. Each role deepened his insight into how facilities operate, how teams function, and how safety must be woven into every part of the process.
His transition into safety leadership marked a turning point. As Safety Supervisor, Marcus led the site to its first‑ever two consecutive years recordable‑free — proving that culture, communication, and accountability could transform an operation.
In 2018, Marcus was selected to lead safety for a new startup facility operated by a major global technology company, a role that required relocating to Clarksville, Tennessee. The project represented one of the most advanced and demanding mission‑critical technology environments in the industry — a high‑density, high‑risk operational site where Marcus was responsible for building the entire safety program from the ground up, establishing all policies, procedures, and compliance systems for a brand‑new account.
Marcus’s leadership continued to accelerate, earning him roles as Safety & Security Manager, Acting Regional Safety & Security Manager, and ultimately Senior Manager for Health, Safety, Security & Environmental — overseeing operations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. His background includes supporting high‑risk environments such as data centers, where he oversaw safety and security during active construction phases and coordinated safe server rack installation in live operational zones.
Alongside his operational experience, Marcus has completed over 100 hours of professional safety training, including Environmental Safety, Workplace Violence Prevention, Machine Guarding, Respiratory Protection, PPE, OSHA Record keeping, Hazard Communication, Electrical Safety, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Slips/Trips/Falls, Fire Protection, and Emergency Action Planning. He earned his Manager of Environmental Safety & Health (MESH) certification in just eight months and holds First Aid/CPR/AED and Raymond Train‑the‑Trainer credentials.
Marcus leads M3 Safety Solutions with the same mindset he had on day one:
Protect the people. Strengthen the operation. Build a safer future.
